MICHAEL & LISA HENNESSEY
Colossians 1:13-14 (ESV)
“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
Michael and Lisa, his beautiful wife of only four months, were our guests today on Wednesday Live. It is always a delight to see friends again right here in the studio.
Michael has a testimony – the kind that many people have yet don’t want to speak of… it comes from a place of darkness.
Michael alluded to the abuse and childhood he survived. His grandmother was his lifeline – the only glue that held him together throughout his childhood. Without her, he would not have had anyone to cling to.
Michael’s abuse led him to many things that would hold him in bondage… one of these was the use of alcohol. Michael says he drank heavily, but there came a day when he wanted to be used by God. The Lord told him that he wasn’t useful as long as he was drinking.
Some years later, in 2019 Michael came to his end and cried out to God. He said he did not know what he was doing, but he said a Sinners Prayer, and immediately he was delivered from alcohol – never to want another drink!
Lisa said she grew up in a loving Christian family. God found a gem in her for Michael.
David shared a bit of his deliverance from alcohol testimony with us as well, solidifying God’s goodness and grace to those who put their trust in the Lord Jesus!
Near the end of the program, Karen spoke a word over Michael that the Lord impressed upon her for him. This is an interview to hear over and over!
