JOHN NELSON, FAMILIES RECOVER
Mark 1:17 (NLT) Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”
We never tire of hearing John’s story, how he went from alcohol and the streets, about losing his wife 8 years ago to drugs, and the transforming of his life after meeting Jesus.
Now, John spends his life dedicated to helping those on the streets, to be restored and build new lives with and in the Lord. John has testimony after testimony of God’s work in the lives of the people that he and Families Recover have been able to help.
John is constantly working to bring people together to raise funds, sometimes through Fun Events to support Families Recover. This time, for the First time, you can help sponsor and be part of the 1st Annual FISH FAM JAM 2026 at Pirate’s Cove Resort in Stuart. There will be a Captain’s Party Friday, July 17- the night before, and a Fishing Tournament on Saturday, July 18. There will be all kinds of prizes and awards.
