Nanette Maldonado joined us today at the 10 o’clock hour, to help us raise funds for Prayer & Share. Nanette is one of Karen’s Co-hosts of our 11:00 am Friday program, Hidden Places. Nanette brings her heart and Scripture with her as she does every Friday to Hidden Places.
Karen and Nanette read Ephesians 4:11 – And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers….. noting that these are the men and women are the people God has called to undergird the body of Christ to do the work we are all called to do.

Matthew 13:34-35 (NIV) Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”
Kim Stryker also dropped in at 11 o’clock to share what is new with Christian Movies!! She shared with us about growing up in a family where her parents were quite artistic and accomplished in music (mother) and visual arts (father).
Jesus spoke in parables because He is the ultimate story teller. He knew we receive truth through stories.
Kim is part of our WCNO PARTNER team with her short program Heart For Hollywood. Because her program rotates on no particular schedule, many of you are able to hear her speak of the great Christian based movies and Christian actors that are filling our movie theaters in these days. Kim shares a bit about the 15th Anniversary of the International Christian Film Festival (ICFF) April 27 – May 2. This year is special and with have some amazing speaker and guests.
