“She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus”. Matthew 1:23 (ESV)
It is always a blessing to WCNO when Steve Camp joins us as our guest for Wednesday Live.
With a recap of his testimony, Steve grew up in a Christian home, but was living life his own way. His story tells us just how he came to the Lord when he was 17 years old – at Big Banjo Pizza through a guy sitting in a booth calling him to repentance, Steve’s life changed as he received Jesus as his Lord and
Savior. This started his journey that brought him to where he is today – leaving behind the secular music world for the opportunity to sing exclusively for the Lord.
In 2023, Steve wrote his first ‘original’ Christmas song – Immanuel which we played during today’s Wednesday Live broadcast. This song was inspired by the Scriptures above!
Steve has been pastoring a church right here in Palm City since 2009, but has since moved to Fort Pierce where he now has a House Church! Going very deep into the Scriptures, he has been teaching through the book of Matthew.
Having sold the property in Palm City, Steve and his wife bought a home in Fort Pierce. As Steve was contemplating a House Church, in doing his research, he says the first 300 years were all House Churches! This is working out very well and is a great blessing for him!
