Daniel Diaz, Executive Director of Citizens 4 Sound Money joins us again to continue educating us about the importance of knowing how money works, and how we can make money work for us and secure our future through the purchase of Silver and Gold.
Silver prices are changing rapidly. Should we still buy Silver? Is it too late? Daniel cites Adam Smith (who is best known today as the father of modern economics), giving us 3 characteristics of Gold and Silver:
1. A medium of exchange;
2: A unit of account;
3: Long-term store value. It is not too late.
The dollar is losing value while Silver and Gold go up in price. The more the dollar is devalued, the costlier it is to purchase Silver and Gold. Daniel notes, the entire world is in ‘debt crisis’. This makes investing in Gold and Silver a safe haven in uncertain times.
A discussion ensued about a question Jonathan asked Daniel regarding the “Debit Card” Daniel spoke of last week where you can use your Gold and Silver assets to purchase goods and pay bills. Daniel explained that this debit card works just like any other, except it uses your Gold & Silver instead of currency.
Daniel explains that if a person doesn’t want to store their Gold & Silver in their homes, there are Vaults that one can put their precious metals into. But he also warns, storage can be risky. Make sure that the company you choose is reputable, has regular audits, and is insured. And, Daniel warns, don’t tell anyone that you have Gold and Silver in your home!
Daniel has worked very hard with the State of Florida to eliminate taxes on your Gold and Silver assets. This was accomplished. As of July 1st this year, there is no sales tax in Florida. Now, he is working at the Federal level to eliminate Capital Gains on the assets you sell.
Finishing up with stating that Gold and Silver is honest and true money. The Government can’t manipulate it like currency.
