Once again, Families Recover is blessing Foster Kids with a trip to Miami – 250 usually go, but they would like to take 500 kids! They will be put on the big busses and transported to Miami to the Miami Heat Basketball Game this October. These kids will not just be going to see the game, but like all the other kids that go to the game, they will be given $25. to purchase a snack and perhaps even a hat! In addition to that, they will be able to go onto the playing court to shoot a basket and take a picture with the players!
The one thing that these youngsters need is to know they are loved. John says, “There is no thing that enough love can’t say!”

John’s work in this area is not just to these kids each year. All year long John works with people in addiction – to see them through the hard times to freedom from addiction! Many of these are single moms who have come back to living clean and prosperous lives. Families Recover even helps them to get back on their feet – donating a reliable vehicle, helping them find homes, showing them how to live productive lives, all the while bringing them to the knowledge of the Lord.
