Robin Campbell – Fort Pierce Nazarene Church
Proverbs 22:6: “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”
NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY – BACKPACK GIVEAWAY! – AUGUST 9TH 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM 611 Gardenia Ave, Fort Pierce
Robin Campbell and her husband Don came back to the WCNO radio station to let you know that the Fort Pierce Nazarene Church is once again giving BACKPACKS & SCHOOL SUPPLIES to local students. Each year, for the past 5 years, this program has grown. As of today, 15 local agencies are confirmed to be there to give away school supplies to fill the Backpacks, and share information about what they do to help people in the community. If you are an agency interested taking part, there is still room for 2 or 3 more to join in the fun!
The Students MUST BE PRESENT to receive a backpack.
Donations are still being accepted for school supplies. For more information about this, you can contact Robin directly… 772-333-6502 / summitseeker1200@yahoo.com. You can also find her on Facebook
The Backpack Giveaway is only one ministry that is sponsored by The Fort Pierce Nazarene Church, with a membership congregation of only 40-50 people! Each 3rd Saturday of the month, you will find this church and its members feeding many families in their community through their Monthly Drive Through Food Pantry. Over the past 5 years, 17,500 people / 4,000 families have been fed. This is with the help of Nelson Family Farms selling to them at wholesale, Publix donates bread, and sometimes cookies, cakes, etc., Natalie’s supplies orange juice every other month, donors in the community, and of course, FP Nazarene Church fills the gaps. All this, by Faith and Prayer. In order to receive this food, each person must fill out a slip that has their name and how many people in the family to feed. Included on this short form is a place for Prayer Requests. Robin says, we don’t just feed people. “We plant seeds.”
Robin shared a bit of her ministry experience today. She is the Southern Florida District Children’s Director. Robin shares this quote she heard some time ago that says well what is in her heart – Children are a message we are sending to a future we will never see. Her passion to see children be healed, whole, educated, and succeed.
We are looking for Robin to return in the near future to talk about another topic that is sure to be of interest to you.
