Ami Thompson came into the WCNO studio today to invite us to participate in HOPE FEST FLORIDA. Hope Fest Florida is an extension of Hope California – founded by Mando Matthews – founder and director of Ekballo School in Pasadena, CA. In 2018 he had a vision/dream of mega stadiums all over the world worshipping and bringing salvation to millions. Last year, in Boca Raton, we joined 8 other stadiums and locations in California, Oregon and Mexicali in worship on the same day. We sandwiched the US in the glory of the Lord!
Since the outpouring of Holy Spirit at Asbury in 2023, Amy says, I’ve been asking “Lord, we want that for Florida. How can we align with what you are doing all over the country?” The Lord said, “Make space for me, and I will fill it”. This event is a response to that call and is largely a crusade-style evangelism event. Last year’s event was a catalyst to a movement in South Florida. We want to spark as many hearts to join us as we press in for revival and reformation in Florida.
Amy says of last year’s Crusade, the Lord demonstrated His holiness and sovereignty before the event began with holding back the rain and miracles of healing and freedom. During the event God sovereignly set many free during the worship. This year we expect More! As we’ve been diving into Joel, chapters 1 & 2, we want more presence of the Lord, more evidence of the dominion of the Kingdom of God – just like Jesus demonstrated.
Ami says, “Everyone that comes can expect an encounter with God. If you need restoration in your soul or mind, come expecting it! If you need healing in your body, come expecting it! If you need restoration in your family, come expecting it! We are expecting salvations, baptisms of Holy Spirit, healing and freedom!”
“This will be a Festival atmosphere with testimonies in between each recording artist. (Testimony from Ingrid Ford about the work God is doing in government, also from Pastor Abraham about his encounter with the Lord at last year’s event and the fruit of it, and a couple others. Invite 5 people you know who need HOPE!”
Ami is asking for you to pray in alignment with Joel 1 & 2. Ami says “We are a kingdom of priests” encouraging all, not just pastors and leaders to follow the instructions clearly laid out. Every revival movement begins with repentance. Pray the Lord pours His spirit out! Pray for unity in the Church! Pray for a harvest of souls! Pray for provision for the event! Pray for clear skies/no rain on April 5th!”
There are still many needs for this Crusade to go forward. Ami says, “We need pastors and leaders to partner with us, especially those who offer discipleship programs. As revival increases in our region, discipleship will be a vital part. We need faith-based businesses to partner with us. We are stronger and better in unity. This is how we will shift the culture in our region. Finally, we still have financial needs to meet budget. Sponsor one of our guest speakers @$3k, sponsor the venue @1,700, sponsor the sound system @$1,200 – but really, any amount – even $5.00 is greatly appreciated and seed that will produce much fruit and glorify the Father through the Son, Christ Jesus.”
