Matthew 25:34-36, 40 (NLT) Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ ……..  “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

Chrystal Netherton 10.30.24 - GraceWay Village Fort Pierce

Meet Crystal Netherton, CEO of GraceWay Village in Fort Pierce. Chrystal started her GraceWay Village affiliation as a volunteer. After seeing the needs of her neighbors met, she developed a strong sense of devotion to the nonprofit. She joined the administrative staff, taking on the position of Chief Operations Officer in 2020. Celebrating her 10th anniversary with GraceWay Village in 2023, the board named her their Chief Executive Officer.

“My family has lived in Fort Pierce for four generations. I knew I had to be a part of this leading nonprofit that brings light to the people! Every day I strive to bring the Lord glory by doing the work He has set before me!”

For the first 30 minutes of Wednesday Live, Chrystal encourages us with story after story of how GraceWay Village supports the people in her community with the help of the many volunteers that make up a large portion of this ministry. She spoke of the people that were ministered to during the recent Hurricane and Tornadoes that have never been seen in Fort Pierce before. Over 12,000 meals were served in October… over 1,000 per night.

GraceWay serves those in need with free hot meals 4 nights each week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, all preparations overseen by master chef Maria Sanchez. Their support comes mainly from donations, only about 20% from grants.  All food preparation is done on the facility ground. They are feeding over 17,000 children!

Besides supplying food and feeding hungry people, they have a clothing boutique! On Tuesday s & Wednesday’s from 10AM-2PM people can come and pick out clothing needed. Over 400 children a month are clothed from the Boutique.

Volunteers are needed! If you are looking to help, there is a Volunteer Orientation once each month.

Churches and individuals can connect. What can your church do? Some churches will bring precooked meals once each month. Donations are always accepted!
